Platform, audience, tribe, fans, followers. Call it what you will, today’s writers must market themselves much more than in years past. In fact, there are many aspects of the writing world we must learn—unless you have a budget that allows you to hire someone to handle it.

I’ve subscribed to agent Chip MacGregor’s blog for years. He’s got a quick wit and shares a lot of information from his perspective as an agent: http://www.chipmacgregor.com.

Thanks for sharing, Linda. Many of the blogs I just listed recommend Chip. I’ll add him to my blog roll.

Another one I subscribe to is Live Write Thrive by C.S. Lakin (www.livewritethrive.com). Once in a while I don’t agree with her, but it’s rare. And a very prolific writing blogger is Kristen Lamb (warriorwriters.wordpress.com). Lengthy posts but always worthwhile (and often funny). You have a few here that I’ve not heard of but have now bookmarked. Thanks for this list!

Linda, thanks, for your input. I haven’t heard of either of these. I’ll be sure to check them out.
